The goal of Yeshivat Shvilei Hatorah is to develop a generation of Torah observant, Israel centered, Modern Orthodox Jews who integrate Torah studies into their daily lives, future professions and community activities. While some of our talmidim, will continue their studies at Yeshiva University, many others will go on to secular colleges and universities. It is, therefore, incumbent upon our Yeshiva to inculcate within our students the knowledge and grounding necessary for them to function as Torah observant Jews and leaders in both the Jewish and secular worlds.
At Yeshivat Shvilei Hatorah, our students are exposed to an environment and an educational philosophy which is unique for post high school yeshiva study in Eretz Yisrael. The centrality of Eretz Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael in contemporary Jewish life, along with a love of Torah, Chessed and Ivrit form the foundation of our pedagogic approach.
Our outstanding Rabanim and faculty have been carefully selected. Each of them shares our Modern Orthodox Hashkafa and serves as an excellent role model for our students. Their goal is to provide our Talmidim, with the impetus to explore and analyze all areas of Jewish thought. More importantly, however, our staff provides professional guidance, encouragement and direction to our boys that help shape them into responsible young men and future leaders of the Jewish community.
An integral part of our program is dedicated to Chessed and community service. These required activities complement the academic program, enabling our students to realize one of the school’s major educational goals - the facilitation of personal growth and a lifelong commitment to community service and the urgency to help others.
