Due to the much needed heavy rains of a week ago, we had to change our tiyul destination on Monday to Nachal Og. What a choice it turned out to be! With ropes, ladders, and a significant degree of difficulty, this tiyul turned out to be quite the challenge. The guys returned from the outing invigorated yet exhausted from their excursion to trek through yet another beautiful part of Eretz Yisrael.

On Wednesday we had a wonderful visit from Rav Baruch Simon, a Rosh Yeshiva at YU, who spoke to us about Pesach. Rav Simon told us that Pesach should be seen as the “completion” of the incomplete redemption that we experienced on Purim. Rav Simon gives an immensely popular shiur at YU and from his visit with us we can clearly see why.

Wednesday night, Naomi and I had the last (for the time being) Bayit Cham. We had five guys over for homemade chili and a discussion about areivut. It’s always a great time when we can have the guys together in such a small setting to really get to know them better.

The guys are actively working on a Haggada Supplement that will be e-mailed out to everyone before Pesach. The supplement will contain divrei Torah from every Talmid on all parts of the Seder. We’ve started collecting the divrei Torah and will have an edited edition out to you as soon as possible.

This Shabbat, our last one before the break will be an out Shabbat where the boys will get a chance to interact with friends and relatives throughout Eretz Yisrael.

Shabbat Shalom
