After a short Chanuka break, where many took advantage to explore areas of the country to which they had never been, we began Yeshiva in earnest , once again, in midweek.

Though the week was short we did some very interesting things. On Monday, we took our annual tiyul up Har Herzl to Yad Vashem. Though some of the talmidim have been to this incredible museum already, there is always something new to learn. Rav Knapel helped lead the tour and gave the guys both insight and a new perspective.
The weekly sicha, on Wednesday, was a guest lecture from Rav Yonah Fuld. Rabbi Fuld is Rav Reichel’s Rav and dear friend and is an exemplar of a true Modern Orthodox mechanech.

Thursday featured Rav Knapel’s special sicha entitled “Christmas Comes to a Jewish Home”. This program discussed Jewish assimilation in America and what we as individuals and as a group can do to slow the devastating affects of the disease.

Shabbat Shalom.
