Chodesh Tov from Shvilei!

This month is all about creating happiness around us, happiness in preparation for Purim and it’s hidden miracles, and then preparation for Passover. In order to spread this happiness around, the talmidim of Shvilei went to Yad Eliezer on Monday. There we packaged hundreds of food boxes to deliver to those families in need. In a fantastic display of team work and dedication, we created an assembly line that made hundreds of packages to help these families survive. Kol HaKavod!

On Wednesday, Rabbi Raphael Sait joined us for our weekly Sicha slot. Rabbi Sait spoke about “control” – proving God’s control over history. In his normal hysterical manner, Rabbi Sait showed how the conflict between Yaakov and Esav hints to the future conflicts between Israel and the descendents of Esav through Amalek. Specifically, Rabbi Sait showed that Megillat Ester hinted to the Nuremberg Trials and how history itself proves that God controls the universe.

Finally for Friday and Shabbat the boys will tour and learn about Tzfat and its many wonders, including the Abuhav and Beirav Shuls, the Arizal’s Mikvah and the spirituality that is so palpable in Tzfat.
